Randall Model #23-4 1/2 inch / GAMEMASTER Model!
It's true: RMK had a Model #23 that had a slight inclusion in the steel on the top, false edge...(The sharp part on top, that is). The quite thin inclusion was not caught until the final polish, by (then top-match knifemaker) Jeff McCartney. Jeff worked his magic and, bit-by-bit removed the blemish to create a splendid example of a RMK!
The top (sharp) edge was no longer straight, as you see on this #23 but had a BCP (Bowie Clip Point) and was shorter in blade length to a final length of 4 inches! BOOM! Thus became the SSP...and I haven't been happier since!
This #23 will tackle all game, even large game. It is 1/4 inch blade stock and, in a leather handle, like this one, is full tang!! Nothing fancy on this example, rather 'BONE-STOCK!
