Randall Model #12-9/#14- 1 of 3!
OK:
So this Model #12-9 inch, with the #14 grind, in stainless, etc., etc...began with me supplying the Randall shop with some of (what I believed) was NASA brown G-3 handle material. It was to be a unique offering but when the shop whittled down the 'brown' and shaped it into the Commando handle, it's true colors shown through!
The 'Yellow-Gold' coloring was hidden underneath decades of Launch Pad #39 complex heat-n-humidity! If you look at the very top (and particularly...the very bottom) of this incredible handle you can see traces of the external brown, created by time & circumstance! Of all of the NASA material there was this is the one insulator that shown this true color. It was only a large enough sample to make 3 of these knives. This is the only one left for sale...and I hope it finds a nestle-spot in your collection!
The NASA 'Meatball' and 'Challenger Shuttle' can be seen in my 'shine on' photo...and this knife also comes with a COA, stating everything included.
