Randall Model #5-6 inch: Bradford Angier Model!
Randall's Model #5's popularity is due, in part, to wilderness author Bradford Angier. His camp tales and exploits were remarkable. His knife of choice was a 6 inch Randall Model #5, Camp & Trail, forged in carbon steel as it was easy to sharpen, held a keen edge and, being carbon steel, would 'spark' much easier. This made it handy, should you need to start a fire! He also liked the nickel silver hilt, black micarta handle, a compass in the butt of the handle and a wrist thong! I have highlighted the black micarta handle material to show off the outstanding job the Randall shop is doing lately! The finish is first class! I hope you agree. If it was good enough for 'Brad' it should work great for you as well.
