Randall Model #18-7 1/2 - ATTACK/SURVIVAL
If you're looking for a true, no nonsense survival knife...this is the one! The Model #18. Attack-Survival knife was designed with SERE (Survival-Escape-Resistance-Evasion) training in mind. Treasured by the military for it's intended purpose, the Model #18 will also prove itself to you in a more hospitable environment. The hollow handle can hold an array of things: Matches, fish hooks, needle-n-thread, H2O purification tablets, etc., etc. will all be safe and sound, as well as waterproof inside! The compass is a no-brainer inside the brass butt cap. The shiny flat brass end can be used to pound tent pegs or even a signaling mirror! The handle has the upgraded option of knurling.. You can wrap the handle with all sorts of survival essentials (paracord, tape, fishing line, twine, garret wire, etc. It is also very handy to have the knurled handle, once all your wrap has been deployed for their intended missions!
Stainless steel blade helps in water/boating conditions as rust is prevented. The sawteeth were originally designed for escaping from a downed aircraft. I have also used them to trim branches when I'm in an archery stand. The holes in the brass double hilt can aid in attaching a spear shaft to the knife.
