Randall Model #14-7 1/2 inch 'ATTACK' Model
The term, 'new...old stock' is so over-used. Check this Randall out and tell me it doesn't 'absolutely' apply to this bad boy! A Randall model #14-7 1/2', 'Attack' model with a stainless blade, nickel silver heavy double hilt, green micarta handle, single finger gripped and a black sheath: Doesn't sound so 'odd'...does it? I polished on the nickel silver for an hour. This knife has been stored in the black model 'C' sheath for some time now. (A defininite 'no-no')
Never carried, used or re-sharpened, this #14 is brand spanking new...'BUT'...(I know. There's that word again)...it has some vintage aging to it. It also has something that positively shows it's age: A 'CANVAS' micarta handle. Green canvas was available from the Randall shop 10 or so years ago...'BUT...(I know)...not on slotted models, i.e. #14 room knives. Cut down tang knives were available to order with green canvas. The fourteen room knives were (and still 'are') available in green 'linen' micarta.
Please take a few extra minutes to view the photos of this unique offering folks. The canvas is cool! I hope one of you will be the one to give this way-cool a new home. I aquired it at the Blade show this past weekend. It was one of those 'last minute' purchases. If it should (for some oddball reason) not sell, it will fit quite nicely in my safe. No tire-kickers, please. The knife is strong and the price is firm. I've not seen this combo before in recent memory.
