Randall Model #17-5 1/2 inch / The ASTRO Model
Howdy folks,
It's gettin' down to the last of my postings for now...thought I'd show ya'll a good one! My good friend and partner-in-crime (when it comes to everything ivory-related), Gene Beal, made these ivory scales a few years back. Each of the Randall Model #17's is hand-built. That means all handles are fitted, drilled and installed...one at a time. Kinda' like Colt Single Action Army revolvers. each set of grips (or handle scales) has to be done, 100% by hand! Gene swore he'd never do these again! (He probably will...The price is just gonna' go up!)
The knife is fairly old, as is evident by the old SS stamp and baby dot model C sheath. It's probably 18-20 years old. I'll list all of the goodies below.
